What's a story worth? What's a writer worth? I've had a life long love not only for the craft of writing, but for encouraging others to pursue the joy of writing, too. Especially writing science fiction and fantasy. My goal is to support an organization that provides life-changing instruction and support for SFF writers while doing the thing I love more than anything else and pursuing my own dreams. Here's my confession: in spite of having a publication history and encouraging others to write, I still struggle with guilt when I write. I still feel like I should be doing something else; cleaning my house, working a "real" job, polishing the rocks in my backyard--anything BUT write. I mean should I be allowed to work this hard at something I so deeply enjoy? So here's where I need your help. My most personal goal from this challenge is to stop feeling like I have to hide the fact that I spend hours choosing writing over other things by putting it out in front of all of you. Hold me accountable, bet on me so that I can bet more on myself and let's help a great cause.
