Writer Bio
I'm a writer living in Dayton, OH. My first book of short stories, The Angels of Our Better Beasts (Chizine Publications), was longlisted for the Sunburst Award, and my short story, "Postlude to the Afternoon of a Faun" was a finalist for a World Fantasy Award. My work has appeared in F&SF, Tor.com, Fantasy, Lightspeed's Queers Destroy Science Fiction, Geist, Joyland, The Rio Grande Review, Icarus, Strange Horizons, On Spec, and several Tesseracts Anthologies. I've also edited a few anthologies like Tesseracts 18: Wrestling With Gods and Imaginarium 4.
Writing Style
I like writing character driven stories, but I really like the sense of wonder that authors like Ray Bradbury have.
Writing Goal
I'm going to write a fun novel. It will probably never be published, and that's okay. I'm here to have fun. I've been pushing myself toward "Goals" and that seems to make my ADHD brain stop. But if I play, it makes it easier.
I will aim for around 1400 words a day, but I'm not going to stress if I go way over for fun (or honestly, work for three hours on it and only get 4 words.)
Fundraising Goal
I'm going to donate $50 a week for the privilege of working beside you all. If I can convince others to watch me spin a story, there may be more....
