Clarion Write-A-Thon Profile I am a writer, a reviewer, and podcaster. I grew up near Nashville, Tennessee, but, of late, find myself living in London. Presently, I'm at work on two things. One is a podcast produced with my partner, E.G. Cosh, called Storyological, in which each week we discuss a couple of short stories. The other is a creative non-fiction piece about the death of my parents, the decline of western civilization, and the film Logan. My previous work has appeared, or is forthcoming, in Strange Horizons, Phantom Drift, the Interfictions Annex, and the second volume of Dark Heart, an anthology of dark fairy tales put out by Little Bird Publishing. Also, I'm a graduate of the 2012 Clarion Writer’ Workshop at UCSD and have an MFA in fiction from the University of Mississippi. Some other things about me. I’m a quarter Scandinavian. Also a feminist. I never put honey in my tea unless I am sick and then usually I also put a fistful of ginger because ginger is awesome. My sister and I more or less defeated The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past over the course of one rental weekend. I have seen every episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at least four times. I love cooking, particularly pancakes, muffins, and curries. If I eat gluten, my stomach frowns. My parents took me to see Return of the Jedi when I was three. I am told that during the credits I cried. I cried a lot as a child. Sometimes people call me pomegranate. I will not tell you why.
Writing goal. A non-fiction piece to include in THE GREEN VOLUME: An Awkward Robots Anthology that we will release later in the year. Storyological goals. Edit, transcribe, and publish a version of our interview with Sam J. Miller. Record, edit, and publish some number of episodes which I will figure out in a little bit when I look at the dates of the write-a-thon a bit more closely. But, generally, we record two episodes every two weeks and release one episode each Monday.
